Biography of St. Marc:
Originally a Jew, St. Marc was certainly not a disciple of Jesus and probably they have never met. Certainly, he became a close associate of St. Paul and escorted St. Peter in the missionary journeys to Rome. According to tradition, in fact, he transcribed the Gospel of St. Peter's to make it more fluid and lively. He died probably as a martyr in Alexandria 'Egypt.
