How to place an order

SHIPPING COSTS AND DELIVERY

ORDERING
You can place an order in the Demi Art online shop with a customer account or as a guest without registering. A customer account offers advantages such as parcel tracking, creating a personal wish list, saving your address details during the ordering process and viewing a list of your previous orders.

SHIPPING
Your products are shipped via GLS or FEDEX. Orders are usually handed over to the shipping service provider within 2 working days. The estimated total delivery time is displayed on the product detail page, in the shopping basket and on the order confirmation page. We consciously refrain from express delivery in order to protect the environment and avoid unnecessary air freight.
Within the EU and USA (2-5 days):   Free shipping         
For orders over €50, Demi Art will cover the shipping costs and shipping is free for you*.
*If you return an item and the order value falls below the threshold for free delivery, you will be charged the shipping costs retrospectively.

Switzerland, UK, Malta, Croatia: Depending on the order value, shipping costs of €40–80 apply. Delivery time 3–10 days.
Rest of the world: Shipping costs €50–100, delivery time 3–10 days.

DELIVERY COUNTRIES
We deliver to all countries worldwide. When you visit our online shop at www.demi-art.com, check whether YOUR flag appears in the top right-hand corner next to the shopping basket symbol. If not, click on it and select your country manually.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER
You can view the status of your order at any time in your user profile (when logged in).
As soon as the goods leave our factory, you will also receive a shipping confirmation by email. This will also contain the tracking number for your delivery.
You can use this tracking number to conveniently track the current shipping status online.

CANCELLING OR CHANGING ORDERS
To ensure that you do not have to wait long for your order, we process and ship it as quickly as possible. For this reason, it is unfortunately not possible to cancel or change your order. However, you are welcome to return the ordered goods to us. This will cancel the order and you can place a new order if necessary. Please note that we will retain a €5 return fee in this case.
We can only refund products that are returned to us in perfect condition. 

HOW TO ORDER FROM DEMI ART

While browsing our catalogue, you can add products to your shopping basket at any time.
Select the desired quantity (default: 1) and tap on the shopping basket icon.
Want to add more items? Simply repeat the process.
Your current shopping basket with the number of items is always visible at the top right of each page.
Ready to checkout? Tap on the ‘shopping basket’ icon.
You can cancel the order process at any time until you confirm payment.

You will receive a complete summary of your order, including shipping costs and the total amount.
If everything is correct, confirm the order to continue.

4. PAYMENT
Select your preferred payment method.

ORDER CONFIRMATION
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after completing your order.
If you have chosen to pay in advance, this email will also contain the payment request.

ORDER NUMBER & SUPPORT
If you have any questions or need assistance, please always include your order number from the confirmation email in your enquiry.
This will help us to assist you more quickly.

CONSUMER PROTECTION & ORDERING INFORMATION

The minimum order value is €50 (plus shipping, depending on the country. See the ‘Shipping’ section).

PRICES & PRODUCTS
All prices include VAT, plus shipping costs.
As our wood carvings are painted by hand, slight colour variations are normal and part of the craftsmanship.

DELIVERY & DAMAGE
Our items are ready for immediate dispatch, with a delivery time of 2 working days. Delivery will be made to the address you specify.
If the delivery could not be made (e.g. because you were not at home), our customer service will contact you to arrange a new delivery.
Demi Art accepts no responsibility for delays beyond our control or due to higher power.

Please check your parcel immediately upon receipt:

  • Correct number of parcels.
  • Integrity of the package – Please report any transport damage to the courier immediately and have it noted on the courier's delivery note with ‘subject to inspection’ (e.g. dented, torn open, wet or heavily scratched). 
  • The integrity of the contents – please report damaged products to us quickly, preferably with photos.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
You may withdraw from your order within 14 days without providing a reason.
You are responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the goods are defective.
Custom-made products are excluded from cancellation.
Refunds will be made within 14 days of receipt of the return, provided the goods are undamaged.

PAYMENT METHODS IN THE DEMI ART ONLINE SHOP

1. CREDIT CARD
Pay securely and directly when completing your order with Visa or MasterCard.
Your data is encrypted using TLS and is only sent to our bank (Cassa Raiffeisen Val Gardena), which is responsible for processing payments.
Demi Art does not store any credit card details. Once the transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation on the website and a receipt by email from the bank.

2. PAYPAL
Pay conveniently via your PayPal account – credit cards are also accepted.
We charge a commission of 4% for payments made via PayPal.
You will be redirected to the PayPal page. Once the payment has been made, you will automatically return to demi-art.com.

3. KLARNA
One-off payment or interest-free instalments – whichever suits you best.
For payments via Klarna, we charge a commission of 4%.
You will be redirected to the secure Klarna platform, where you can complete the payment. You will then be automatically redirected back to demi-art.com.
After successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation from us and, if applicable, a payment confirmation from Klarna.


4. PREPAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER
After placing your order, you will receive an email with our account details.
Please always quote your order number as the reason for payment. As soon as we have received the amount, we will prepare your wood carvings for dispatch.

5. PAYMENT ON DELIVERY (CASH ON DELIVERY)
Only available in Italy, plus €5.
The courier GLS will contact you by telephone to arrange delivery and payment.
Applies to orders between €100 and €1,000.

FAST CHECKOUT
For particularly urgent orders, we offer Fast Checkout.
This works directly on the item page (not available in the shopping cart for multiple items) and is only available for one item per order.
You can pay conveniently with PayPal or Klarna.
Your details are already pre-filled and payment is secure as usual.

HOW RETURNS WORK

You can cancel your order within 14 days – no questions asked.


Here's how:

  1. Send us a quick email to info@demi-art.com (Subject: Cancellation + order number)

  2. Send the goods back to us within 14 days of your cancellation:

  3. Shipping costs for returns are your responsibility (except in the case of damaged or faulty goods).

Personalised or custom-made products are excluded from cancellation.
Damaged or used goods may result in a loss of value, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

CONSEQUENCES OF WITHDRAWAL
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you for all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs
(with the exception of additional costs incurred if you have chosen a type of delivery other than the standard delivery offered by us).
The refund will be made immediately and at the latest within fourteen days of our receipt of your notice of withdrawal.
We will use the same means of payment for this refund as you used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
We may refuse to refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods.

RETURNING THE GOODS
You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately and at the latest within fourteen days of the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal.
The deadline is met if you send the goods before the expiry of the 14-day period.
You shall bear the costs of the return shipment, unless the goods were faulty or damaged.

LOSS OF VALUE
You shall only be liable for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is attributable to handling that is not necessary for testing the condition, properties and functionality of the goods.

EXCLUSION OF THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and for the manufacture of which an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to personal needs.
