Folkloristic Nativty

A FEAST OF TRADITION
Our folk nativity scene captivates with its detailed yet warm depiction of figures from rural life. Farmers, shepherds and craftsmen in typical Val Gardena costumes meet the Holy Family in a way that reflects the traditional charm of this region. Each figure has been carved with a high degree of skill and attention to detail by the talented craftsmen at Demi Art. Special here is the stabilizing base of the figures, which can be removed on request.

A LIVING STORY
The child in the wooden cradle, Mary's silent prayer and Joseph's protective stance with the lantern represent hope, light and the power of faith. This nativity scene invites you to experience the magic of Christmas in an atmosphere of warmth, peace and security.
Under the artistic direction of master sculptor Karl Demetz, Demi Art creates wood carvings that combine tradition and innovation. His decades of experience, combined with the passion of his craftsmen, give the folk nativity scene an extraordinary authenticity.

LEPI
The LEPI HISTORY In 1920, Leo Prinoth Senior founded a carving workshop in the world-famous Val Gardena, whose product range initially comprised items with specific functions, such as buttons, corks or clock cases. However, the range was soon expanded to include sacred and profane sculptures. Slowly, nativity figures became more and more relevant and ©LEPI introduced a quality assurance system and a wide-ranging production program with several variants of the respective nativity scenes, for which several artists were commissioned. Comprehensive quality controls of the materials were also introduced. Grandsons Alfred, Roland and Diego continued the family legacy until ©LEPI moved to our Demi Art collection as a prestigious brand. We at Demi Art remained true to the values and quality standards of ©LEPI and even took over the employees and the company headquarters. Today, our diverse showroom is located here, where each of our special crib creations is exhibited.
