Biography of St. Kilian:
Kilian was a monk native from Ireland who was made bishop and together with eleven companions, went to Rome to gain the permission to evangelize Baden and Bavaria ( South-Germany). They were very successful and converted many people. Until, one day, Kilian converted Gosbert, the Duke of Wurzburg. Gosbert had married Geilana, his brother's widow. Because Geilana was afraid that Gosbert would leave her due to his new religion, she ordered the decapitation of Kilian and two other missionaries.
