Biography of St. Joan of Arc:
Joan d'Arc was born in 1412 in Domremy (France) to a pious couple. Already at an early age, she head the voices of St. Michael, St. Catherine and St. Margaret. At first, the voices talked about general things. But then, the voices ordered her to go to the king of France in order to reconquer his kingdom. Joan of Arc had spectacular military success. Unfortunately, in 1430, she was captured by the Burgundians and sold to the English, which condemned her to death as a heretic and burned her in 1431 at the age of nineteen.
