When did St. Ewald live: in the seventh century
Biography of St. Ewald:
Ewald originally came from Northumbira and had a brother called the same name as he was, Ewald. They were both companions of St. Willibrord of Echternach and educated in Ireland. After having been ordained priests of the Benedictine Order, they joined Willibrord in Frisia (Netherlands). The two brothers were martyred during a mission in 692.
