When did St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch live: in the fifth and sixth century
Biography of St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch:
St. Theodosius was born in Turkey in 423 and went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem where he met the famous St. Simeon. After this encounter, he entered a monastery.
Later on, he became head of the church between Jerusalem and Bethlehem but decided to refuse and started living a hermitical life near the Dead Sea. Because so many people desired to follow him, he founded a monastery. St. Theodosius died at the age of 105 in Jerusalem.
