Biography of St.Dorothy:
The legend tells that St. Dorothy refused the marriage and the sacrifice to the gods. So she was beheaded, but on the verge of her death she explained to the crowd that she was going to leave this cold world for a place without winter. A youngster deridingly asked her to send him roses and apples from that paradise and Dorothy promised to do so. The next winter an angel carrying a basket full of fruits and flowers visited the youngster. Thereon the young boy converted to Christianity and died like Dorothy as a martyr.
