Biography of St. Basinus:
St. Basinus was a benedictine bishop of Trier, Germany, the successor of St. Numerian. Before being consecrated as bishop, he was abbot of St. Maxim Abbey in Trier. Basinus assisted English missionaries of the time, including St. Willibrord. Basinus spent his retirement in the former abbey, where he passed away.
