Biography of St. Barbara:
Despite his father Dioscorus, payer and collaborator of Herculean Emperor Maximilian, had locked her in the tower to prevent the convert, Barbara became a Christian. For this reason, she was denounced and sentenced to beheading after many torments. These began with a scourging with rods, which turned into peacock feathers, after that she was tortured with fire and finally underwent cutting of the breasts. Barbara was beheaded with the hands of her father who was struck by lightning.
