Biography of St. German:
St. German was born around 496 a.D. in Autun, he lived as a hermit and then in 530 a.D. he became priest and in 540 a.D. abbot of the Benedictine monastery of St. Symphorian. In 555 a.D. king Childeric appointed him bishop of Paris, he died on the 28th of March 576 and he was buried in Paris in the abbey of St.-Germain-des-Prés. St. German is known for his helpfulness, it is told that he sold his horse to free a prisoner.
