Biography of St. Adalgar:
Agalgar was born in a noble Saxon family. In 856, he became benedictine monk at Corvey and started working as the assistant of archbishop Rimbert in 865. After Rimbert's death, Adalgar was consecrated archbishop of Bremen-Hamburg. Due to the invasion of the Normans, Adalgar had to give up the evangelization of the North. He died in 909 in Bremen
