Biography of St. John Macias:
John Macias was born in 1585 in Ribera, Spain as the son of a noble family. Unfortunately, he lost his parents at a young age. John decided to move to Peru to work on a cattle ranch, then changed his plans and entered the Dominican order in Lima as a lay brother. There, he served as a doorkeeper. Soon he became famous because of his miracles and visions. He took care of the poor in Lima and died in 1645.
