Biography of St. Castor of Karden:
It is believed, that Castor originated from the region of Aquitaine. Aroud 345 AD, he was a pupil of Maximinus of Trier and was later ordained priest by Maximinus. After his ordination, he decided to dedicate his life to God and to lead an ascetic life with a few companions such as Saint Potentius and his two sons. Castor von Karden died around the year 400 in Karden an der Mosel in Rheinland-Pfalz.
