When did St. Amator live: 388- 418
Amator was born in 388 as the son of wealthy family in Auxerre (France). On his wedding day, Amator heard the words for the ordination ceremony for deacons and decided not go get married. He persuaded his fiancée Martha to enter a convent and he became priest and later bishop of Auxerre. Amator became famous for his miracles, the two churches that he built and the many conversions in his diocese. Some believe that he ordained St. Patrick of Ireland. He died on 1st of May 418 in Auxerre.
