Biography of St. Paschal Baylon:
Paschal Baylon was born in a poor farmer's family in Torre Hermosa, in Aragon. In his young years, he spent his life as a shepherd for his father but had great skills: he could perform miracles. After teaching himself to read, he became a Franciscan lay brother in 1564, after having had a vision which told him to enter the Franciscan comity. Paschal Bayon spent the rest of his life as a faithful doorkeeper how lived a very humble life. Paschal Bayon died in a monastery in Villareal and was canonized in 1690.
