Yes. It seems that wood carving and handwork were widely known in Val Gardena since the 17th century. Demi Art woodcarvers themselves, personally selected by Master Karl Demetz, are the worthy heirs to the Val Gardena woodcarvers who, three centuries ago, made a foray into wood carving, a Val Gardena age-old tradition handed down from father to son.
